Stalked by Elizabeth Heiter

STALKED had many layers and many secrets, and most of them were deadly.

Kidnappings, disappearances, questionable police officers, accidents involving the police involved in the case, human trafficking, and barely a clue about anything or any connection that could be found.

STALKED was an intense but very good read.

STALKED focused on the investigation of a teenager who disappeared and led to many other issues and many suspects along with the questions of why and how.

The writing style of Ms. Heiter is smooth, detailed, and makes the story come alive and seem real.

If suspense, character banter, behind-the-scenes police work, on-site police work, interviewing suspects by FBI and local officers, and a good who-done-it are things that intrigue you, then STALKED is a book you will want to read.

ENJOY if you read STALKED.  4/4

This book was given to me free of charge and without compensation by the publisher in return for an honest review.

Mon. | Dec. 26 – Challenges {The Year End Updates on Reading Challenges, Personal Goals, Resolutions}
 ********
How did you do? Are you going to do more challenges next year?
********
I only participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge and participated for the first time this year in the Women's Fiction Challenge.
I have completed my Goodreads Reading Challenge of 50 books.  :)

I went over my goal for the Women's Fiction Challenge hosted by Kathryn of The Book Date.  :)

Kathryn also hosts a fun Monday meme called:  It's Monday! What are YOU Reading?  Participants add books they have read, the current book being read, and books coming up.
 ********
I will ONLY be doing the Goodreads Challenge again this year.

I am not good at any challenges and especially those challenges that have a BINGO card just because I don't read all the genres listed, and I like to enjoy my reading without stress.

I also do not do the 24-hour reading challenges.  No way could I do that.  :)
********

I do not make personal resolutions so I also do not make any blog or reading resolutions or goals.

Wed. | Dec. 21 –Keep It!  -  5 Purchases That Were Totally Worth It #IRegretNothing
 ********
What did you buy this year – big or small – that you love, bought more of, got your money's worth?
********
I didn't buy 5 things, but the ONE thing I did buy was totally worth it.

My MacBook was a large purchase, and I love it.  It is small, it is pink, and it is very portable.  It probably weighs two pounds.  :)

The only thing I was worried about was that there are no USB ports and only the power spot.  That was solved, though, by buying an adapter that fits into the power spot and has a USB end on the other side.

I am very happy with my purchase.

Mon. | Dec. 19 – Reading Outside My Comfort Zone #AMonthofFaves2016
 ********
Surprise Find(s) This Year
********
Well....I really never venture outside of my comfort zone of historical fiction, women's fiction, and mystery, but a few books had a twinge of paranormal but not enough to stop me from reading.

BALLET NOIR by Caroline Miller had a tiny bit of paranormal.
IN ANOTHER LIFE by Julie Christine Johnson had a small bit of paranormal too.

********
As for surprises,  THE CURIOUS CHARMS OF ARTHUR PEPPER by Phaedra Patrick was a sweet, marvelous find.

 *********
WATCHING EDIE by Camilla Way and BLACK RABBIT HALL by Eve Chase were odd but interesting reads.
